Committee on Public Safety – NYPD’s Enforcement of DWI Laws – The Council Briefing Paper and Report of the Governmental Affairs Division that lists current DWI laws and a hearing that calls for more stringent legislation related to with DWI accidents resulting in death or injury.

Be Responsible About Drinking – The B.R.A.D. or Be Responsible About Drinking website has the purpose of educating high school and college age students and their parents regarding the effects of alcohol, how to deal with others involved in excessive use and to provide information about the responsible use of alcohol.

Driving School Online – Buffalo New York Defensive Driving Traffic School Online is a resource for New York traffic school taken to reduce traffic ticket fines or to dismiss traffic tickets and to qualify for auto insurance discounts. It is a self-paced course, done online.

National Highway Traffic Safety Commision – The National Highway Traffic Safety Commission provides links to articles and videos regarding the Impaired Driving (Drugs & Alcohol) Safety Program.

Insurance Institute for Highway Safety – A laws and regulations summary providing information about DUI/DWI laws, speed limit laws and other traffic laws
for the State of New York.

National Conference of State Legislatures – The National Conference of State Legislatures provides information on state drunk driving laws for all 50 states, such as when each state enacted the .08 BAC law, the criminal status of drunk driving laws and so on.

Drinking Driver Program (DDP) participants, and motorists convicted of multiple drug/alcohol traffic offenses, must choose a Provider from this Resource List when an evaluation/treatment program is required before full New York State Drivers License privileges can be restored.
